According to WordPress.com, I guess that’s how it all begins, with a big “hello” to the world…..or at least to anyone who happens to pass through here as they navigate through the seemingly endless expanse of cyberspace trying to find something interesting to read, view, check out, etc. I’m not sure exactly why I feel compelled to blog at this particular moment in time, but I find myself jumping into the mix. I feel like I’m relatively late hopping onto the blog train, but I think it’ll be good for me.

I’ve never written much besides assigned work, whether for school or work. I had the poetry writing phases, the journal phases, the artist phases, and so on. Nevertheless, I have faith that this dive into the blogoshpere will be more than a flash in the pan. I’ve supported my wife and a good friend of mine with their blogs and even comment on their pieces occasionally. It’s been a positive experience and I think I’ll enjoy writing down my thoughts, perspectives, opinions, stories, testimonies and more in this blog.

Now that I think about it, I could have used this at quite a few moments in my lifetime. Regardless of how much of myself and my experiences that I’ve shared with friends and family, I wonder from time to time how an outside eye would view things. I’d like to get a perspective from one, or many, who know nothing of me as a person, just as some blogger putting his pieces out there. Then again, I do greatly value the perspective of those who I consider friends and family. I guess it’ll be good to hear from both, those that know me and those that don’t.

I’m sure that it’ll be good to hear from myself and actually pay attention to what’s on my mind. As silly as it sounds, that’s exactly what I need.
